Want a cuppa?
Ready? Go!

This week-end a first set of the final PCBs have finally arrived in Paris ; and preparing the first batch of kits was a lot of fun. These plastic cups were indeed very convenient to pick and sort parts!

5 kits are going to land very soon in the hands of a bunch of lucky friends and pioneers. As soon as they give the green signal (and help me build awesome tutorials/instructables), I’ll hit the ORDER button to get more PCBs, even more parts and will open here the official order page :) Let’s get rolling!
Prices
The prices are as follows (shipping excl.) :
- PCBs only (bare pack): 15€
- PCBs + ATMega328p with bootloader/firmware + CEM3379 + display (“only the rare parts” pack): 65€
- Complete kit, including pots, knobs, audio connectors (full pack): 115€
To our friends in the US
You have a good sense of logistics? You like listening to good music while flashing firmware on tiny chips? You want to help spread the Shruti-1 goodness? Please drop a line at mutable.instruments (at) gmail.com if you would like to cut corners and help with the distribution of the kits in the US… Moving components/parts from the US to France to have it put in bags and shipped back is plain silly…

And where is this official ORDER page? I'd love one of those full packs!
Hannes
It will come in place of the "Pre-order" button as soon as we're good to go!
Any ideia about how many full packs will be made?
Thanks
First 5, then 10, then 20
can't wait! looks awesome :). looking forward to seeing what happens with this. Also, i'm curious, if you plan on doing firmware upgrades/development, and if so, will it be easy to switch out the chips, etc?
The firmware uses 100% of the chip memory so it'll be hard to add new features in the "official" firmware BUT I plan to release "mods" with features replaced by others. And of course bug fixes.
You don't need to swap chips, the firmware can be upgraded by playing a special MIDIfile with SysEx data into the synth.
