Audio and midi interface recommendations
There’s no benefit in practical terms that I can see – low latency performance is as dependent on the drivers as it is on the interface itself nowadays. Martin

Yep, could be – they LOOK like DPDT, with exactly the same number and arrangement of contacts. Actually I’ve already posted a link to a suitable one at Farnell above that’s labelled DPDT – here it is again It’s a MULTICOMP 2MD6T1B5M2RE. I’ve ju…

Oh, and if anyone is about to place a component order, apart from a few common resistors the various new mods/revisions will also require the following: 2x 1uF film capacitor 2x BAT85 Schottky diode (very low turn-on voltage – I measured it …

Ah, perhaps what you wanted was a power supply with built-in CURRENT LIMITING. In essence you set this value to the maximum current you think your experimental circuit will require, and then if there’s a fault/short circuit ti won’t get fried. …

It may be old news to some, but many thanks to Fitvideo for posting the link – I hadn’t come across this collaboration before, and LOVED this track (reminiscent of Orbital to my ears) Martin

Computer Recording Setup? Dual boot?
I’m with MicMicMan: most modern computers won’t get slowed down appreciably by the Internet, and ‘ground loops’ and ‘faulty cables’ can still happen with a standalone recorder such as the Zoom. It’s the Mutable Instruments forum that takes up my …

@joshuagoran: sorry, I haven’t posted details of this one yet in the SDE Wiki (still working on the next mod I’m afraid). I’ll give the FEED mod a higher priority, since it’s fairly simple. I just need to create an explanatory circuit diagram for…

Ladder Filter for Shruthi
@piscione: Just look at the SMR4-MkII circuit diagram and you’ll see exactly what you need for your ladder volume pot. Just look for 10k pot ‘R2’ on the SMR4 diagram and put that in place of the 10k ‘R18’ on Andre’s ladder filter. Martin

Keyboard to filter cutoff, can't find it in the menus?
The vast majority of the time gwaidan’s advice is spot-on – with a single modulation slot and a -63 amount setting keyboard tracking it will very, very nearly negate the fixed key tracking, but if you try playing a preset across several octaves you…

Question about R20 on the Shruthi control board
Assuming you bought your digital board from Mutable Instruments, I think Olivier is the one to answer this, as R20 has changed as he changed suppliers/colours of the display. Mine (amber) from Newhaven is 68 ohms, but I know new kits are sent out…
