Coming soon from Mutable Instruments... Euro modules
Braids, Grids, Edges all need +5V. Braids because the display eats a lot, Edges because there is a lot of digital things going on/off that really shouldn’t impact the +12V rail. And once I opened that door it was a no-brainer for Grids. The mor…

Midipal as chord generator
1. This could be done by tweaking the code… Do you know a bit about programming? 2. There’s a chord memory function which does that… again on the same channel (modifiable with a bit of programming) 3. Which quantization are you talking about?

Help? Building Shruti, does not work (photos of assembly)
Please post the voltages measured on the colored test point described in the assembly instructions. Please explain what is not working.

Sound issue with fresh built Anushri
Does the hum you get on pin F change with the note you play? If not, you’re likely to have a power supply problem; or a grounding problem (one of the output jacks or power jacks has a bad solder point on the ground connector).

Qustion about savin
Voice allocation is not save in a program. It is saved in a multi. So when you load a program (or patch), the voice allocation is actually not changed!

Do you have the background noise when you take the drums from the front panel output?

When you post audio files, please make them downloadable and try to upload .wav / .aiff so that I can actually look at the waveform. Check the troubleshooting section of the manual… It shows a few points worth testing in the signal path. In parti…

Expanding the patch matrix?
Maybe duplicating existing inputs? And then adding a small extra LFO on a piece of veroboard (that’s only an op-amp and a handful of resistors and a cap)?

No, see the “firmware update” section in the manual

LFO and envelopes are not available. They are digital. FM and sub-osc amount are controlled by pots directly in the signal chain. They cannot be controlled by a CVs.

Grids uses 5x5. For both Anushri and Grids there’s interpolation between the nodes so it continuously mutates.

No, there is no way to visualize them, and these are not even patterns, but step priority lists :)

Ambika SVF filter card issue, broken low pass?
That’s one of the things I hate with SVFs (vs cascades for example) – if something breaks, the whole filter behaves differently and you can’t know where… Check all the solder joints on the faulty voicecard. Check for styroflex capacitors inserted…

Anushri external sync help. (if you know ableton live that would be even more help!)
Set the tempo to its minimum value (=> the internal clock will stop) ; and send a MIDI clock to Anushri’s MIDI input. Anushri will instead derive its tempo from the MIDI start / MIDI clock messages on its MIDI input.

Nothing but loud Hum coming from Shruthi-1
Why didn’t you perform the voltage test before continuing soldering the other parts? There’s a reason why the voltage test is early in the assembly process – to prevent you from frying too many parts in case of assembly error in the power supply se…

Looking for a couple of Anushri Parts
The boards are naturally warped – that’s because there’s some uneven patterns of copper on each side. It’s not a problem though! If you have problems with the chips (broken pins) I will send replacements.

C1 should be there, but it’s hard from your blurry pictures to see if something is badly soldered. Is the C1 correctly polarized? Does the LT1054 get hot?

To add on Poles : each pole has its own input/output jacks (which are cascaded by default, through normaling). So it can also work as 4 individual 1-pole VCF/expo VCA – which can make it a rather awkward quad CV-mixer – or you can do 3-pole LPF and…
